Haven for the Broken Hearted.

Monday, December 16, 2013

I believe that if Jesus were walking our streets today as He did thousands of years ago, the broken hearted and hurting people of the world would gather no further than their closest coffee shop to have their heart mended by the Carpenter. That He would sip His white chocolate mocha and spread His words of love and encouragement to the divorced couple who meet every other day to share a cup of soup and a chocolate chip cookie.

That He would comfort the man with the toothless grin and heal his wife from dementia and bring her home to him.  That the Messiah would love and bring peace to the outspoken and ever so sassy retired preschool teacher who lost her close friend and love to a drunk driver in June.
That He would be near to the broken hearted, the crushed in spirit, and bring comfort to the lonely that enter His coffee shop, so they would never have to feel alone again.

This is my prayer.

He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.
Psalms 107 v 20
