Loving on Purpose.

Loving on Purpose.

"He showed up in the midst of our brokenness with compassion and healing shocking everyone by how fearless He was about keeping His love on with sinners. Jesus didn't create distance with broken people; He created connection."

"If your "love" isn't producing things like safety, peace, and trust in your relationships it probably shouldn't be called love."

"I will not make assumptions about what is going on inside you."

"The way you communicate value for a relationship is in the way you protect the connection."

"Can I propose something? The real sign that you are in a relationship with Jesus is that you love people. Period."

"We've come to think that vulnerability is where we get judged and rejected instead of loved and accepted, so there is a war to keep us from being vulnerable. Acceptance is huge."

Lastly.

"You are a completely different person than I am. But you get to be you and I get to be me in this relationship."

Love on Purpose.

1. Create a Budget.
No seriously. This is a big one.
Until May all that I will be buying is:
Gas.
(college girl problems)

2. Eat Clean and Workout 5-6 times a week.
One cheat meal.
Lift heavier.
Run faster.

3. Successfully accomplish 5 whole pull ups.
By myself.

4. Write a love letter every month and leave it somewhere for someone to find.

Hannah Brencher is my idol.

5. Read the entire bible.
3 Chapters a day.

6. Write more.
I miss poetry and song lyrics and diary entries.

7. Sing more.
This last year I let go of this.
And I realized...
Without it a part of me is missing.

8. Forgive more, love more, do more, forget more, regret less.

A Prayer Request.

Friday, January 3, 2014

Pray for my brother.

He got his second DUII this last November and will be going to court on Monday January 6, 2014.

Pray that my parents would be blessed financially.

That they would be able to pay off all of their debt and be able to have a Christmas tree again.

Pray for my Father.

That his heart might be softened and that he might be able to see God in his life.

Pray for the homeless and the heart broken that we meet on the street everyday.

Pray for your enemies and the people who repeatedly try to tear you down.

Pray for the world and for the power to be able to bring peace and joy even if it's just to your own community.

Pray.

Just pray.
